Full agreement. It's such a mess and very user-unfriendly. Plus, I can do without the daily requests from [Insert female porn star/hooker name here] wanting to be my "friend".
I have deleted my MySpace account four times, and always gone back, because some of my real friends (as opposed to "friends") don't have accounts anywhere else, and I can't comment on their lame-ass blogs and bulletins unless I have an account.
I hate MySpace, but until everybody I know jumps ship, I'm stuck there unless I'm willing to abandon them.
Reasons to dislike MySpace should not be confused with reasons to delete one’s account. Deleting your account because MySpace irks you is like cutting your foot off because it’s itchy. Like CB Jr. above, I have a fair number of friends who have not migrated to Facebook with whom I still use MySpace to communicate. I have a huge amount of mail, blog articles and pictures stored there that would disappear upon canceling my account, not to mention all the profile and image comments I posted here and there. You also should consider how good a thing redundancy can be. The more sites on which you have a presence, the better your publicity. Despite its shortcomings, MySpace gives me a Web page other than my Web log with the HTML of which I can tinker and that can be viewed by anyone without an account. You’re becoming too much of a starlet to turn away valuable publicity and Internet real estate. (I still have, and to some extent maintain, my Friendster account.) If it’s free and won’t disappear even if ignored, I vote you keep it. The slant is more commercial and musical, but the basic argument is the same in the following article: Derek Sivers, “Should I put my music on LOTS of websites, or just a few?,” Derek Sivers, 19 September 2008. לשנה טובה، חביבי.

Is the question whether to delete your profile because you don't use MySpace anymore, or because there's another factor?
To me, it has become a useless, badly designed artifact of the earlier part of this decade, stuck at the age of 13.
I don't use myspace anymore AND dislike the functionality now that it has been usurped by facebook.
I wonder if in 5 or so years I'll be saying this about Facebook?
