Happy Friday: Inspiration

I'm a happy crier. It's a known fact. I can cry at the drop of hat if something is particularly celebrative or inspirational or life-affirming. I've always been this way- and I love it.

Sometimes things are life are just so beautiful that I can't help myself from crying. They're usually the simplest things too, much like this video below.

The video below is produced by Where the Hell is Matt?- a guy who started off doing a silly dance and soon enough got the entire world involved. I've watched the video around 10 times now and I can't get through it without either full on crying or getting the least bit misty.

I guess he follows the famous lyrics: "If I had the chance I'd ask the world to dance."

Where the Hell is Matt? (2008) from Matthew Harding on Vimeo.

Big thanks to BStewart for throwing this my way and lifting my soul, again and again.

Spread the video. Spread the love. Happy Friday.

Thanks for the great lift today. It was highly needed. I'll have to share with friends who also need a lift.

I thought I was just going to smile, not cry, until Israel and the West Bank were back-to-back.

Then I felt like a stupid fool for crying.

I wish everybody could cry until they felt like a stupid fool once in a while. :)

Does it make me heartless that I didn't cry when I watched the video? I thought it was sweet and shows our common humanity - I did smile though. Does that count?

Sweet indeed.

But never understimate the power of music...watch it without sound and something gets lost.

But given the advance warning ; it did move me more.

So thanks Eric for spreading the word and the warmth.

oh, gawd, get me a tissue. sniff.

WHY does that video get us all weepy?

Because it confirms everything that we suspect about other people in the world...

We all want to have fun.
We all have fun when we dance.
We are all the same inside.

Thanks for sharing, Eric!

A video that has affected me very similarly is below.

If you want a short animal video that expresses the beauty of friendship between a cat and people, go here, and have a tissue or hanky ready - beautiful happy story....
