This was found on Bilerico and think it's a fantastic interview:

The Straight Pride (read murder music homophobe) march is still coming to Brooklyn on Aug. 31. I'm still wondering what activists are planning what.

joey: sometimes the best protest is no protest. Why would we empower such an ignorant small band of thugs by showing up treating them as if their quest for selling records can manipulate us into giving them undeserved prominence. Am i wrong or are these people hijacking a day of festivities celebrating something unrelated to straight pride?

Ewe : Straight Pride is actually coinciding with the Carribean Labor day parade and festivities, where it's likely to have its biggest audience. Stapler and Jango Fresh (both performers of the so-called "murder music" against gays) will be among the performers. I do understand your point, about how any type of protests bring undeserved publicity to the guilty party (it was considered about Eminem protests, for instance), but...that's a hard call. Didn't the Queer Justice League bring a lot of publicity to the Caliente Cab Company restaurant? I'd think they'd risk giving TCOOO productions a bit of publicity for something far more serious (the promotion of gay murder) than a restaurant bathroom incident. Same for the group Radical Homosexual Agenda. If nobody protests this Straight Pride, it's because they've gotten too politically correct and they won't protest homophobia from those of African-descent. That's the only possible reason. And the excuse that they're too afraid of violence doesn't hold weight, either, because there'll be plenty of NYPD doing their job to protect them.

But they are really protesting the fact they cannot get their hate music played? so we already won.

Mmmm...I don't see it that way. Especially for gays who live in that neighborhood. http://www.soulfullvibes.com/Reggae-Music/the-worlds-first-straight-pride-parade-in-new-york.html
